I was brought up within the fashion industry in Lima, Peru where my father (a clothing and shoe designer) taught me the in's and out's of the business, whilst teaching me most importantly, the psychology behind dressing a woman. I remember being so eager to make my stamp in the world that I started designing my own range of kids' shoes & accessories at the age of 10.
Throughout my childhood I asked a lot of questions. Why did certain garments look amazing on one woman while having the opposite effect on someone else? What truly defines style and how could it be created? It was this innate curiosity that piqued my interest in helping others to develop their own personal style and feeling beautiful in their own skin. In 1989, I migrated to New Zealand where I developed a depth of knowledge in marketing, branding which included owning a coaching business. With all of these experiences and upbringing; I began to package the science, the psychology of clothing and self-image to help people transform their image whilst creating an immediate and profound impact on a person's life. So, in 2005 I quit the corporate world and took a leap-of-faith to form La'Qua Image - NZ's #1 Self Image & Styling business. This has been a fascinating personal journey as I continue to meet incredible people along the way and have the great fortune to earn the respect of CEOs, Top Fortune 500 companies, political figures and the media. |

About Loren Duxfield
"Loren brings a fresh approach and knows how to make women look beautiful regardless of their shape, size and clothing budget."
Loren has been in the fashion industry for over five years. From the age of 15 she was working in a women’s retail store as well as studying. After two years in this position, her hard work, punctuality, loyalty and above all honesty soon propelled her into senior management.
For the last three years whilst being manager she was involved in the design as well as the production development for the store’s clothing. In 2010 the store was awarded ‘best new retailer’. During this time she has also been the main stylist in the photography for the seasonal posters.
In 2011 Loren completed and gained her ‘Diploma in Professional Styling.’ Throughout this course she gained experience and knowledge of the industry and thrived doing work experience for a number of accomplished New Zealand stylists.
Through all of this Loren has gained different perspectives and ideas about the industry. Her approach is hands on, personal and always understanding her client's individual needs.
Whether you wish to receive a complete head-to-toe makeover or style touch up, you will be inspired by Loren's skills, natural ability to transform women and her warm gentle energy.
